Mrs. Ruby Ready Till, 82, of Orangeburg, died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2007, at her residence.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 8, at the First Baptist Church, Orangeburg. The casket will be placed in the church one hour before the service. The Rev. B.D. Fersner and The Rev. Bert Fersner will officiate. Burial will take place in the Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Gus Carter, Travis Livingston, Michael Carter, McKinley Till, Ronnie Ayers, Ken Ready and Jay Webber.
Mrs. Till was born on April 6, 1925, in Barnwell County; the daughter of the late Fletcher M. Ready and the late Sarah Williams Ready. She was a member of First Baptist Church and Dorcas Sunday School class and a Charter member and past president of the Orangeburg B.P.O. Does No. 237. She was retired from Suburban Propane and was preceded in death by a son; A.F. Carter III, an infant daughter, Catherine Marie Till; a sister, Mary Ayers and two brothers, Richard and Fletcher (Bubba) Ready.
Survivors include her husband Lester B. Till Sr., Orangeburg; one daughter, Rachael Carter Miller of Charleston; two sons, R. Michael Carter and Boyce Till, both of Orangeburg; grandchildren, Gus Carter, Kelli Stewart, Kaysey Carter, Travis Livingston, Ansley Livingston Miller, Melanie Miller, Michelle Miller McLemore, Michael Carter, Courtney Carter and McKinley Till; 11 great-grandchildren; one brother, William (Billy) Ready of Allendale; and a number of nieces and nephews.
