Dwight Horton is the son of William & Matilda (McDaniels) Horton. He married Harriett Mrytle Milligan on March 10, 1878 in Swede's Flat, Butte Co, CA. Dwight came to California with relatives when a small boy. He lived in the mid-Sacramento valley for 71 years, at one time in Marysville. He was a farmer & express driver.

Dwight Horton in Valley for 71 years, Dies
Dwight Horton, 80, Butte county farmer, died Wednesday night at his home two miles west of Gridley. He was a native of Michigan. Horton came to the west with relatives when a small boy. He lived in the mid-Sacramento valley for 71 years, at one time in Marysville.

Surviving him are his widow, Mrs. Harriet Horton of Gridley, two daughters, Mrs. G. Matheson of Yuba City and Mrs. Elsie Wilcoxon of Gridley, two brothers Asa Horton of Chico, and Gipson Horton of Missouri and three grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are in charge of Lipp & Sullivan of Marysville.

UPHAM, June 26. - (Special) - ...
The remains of Dwight Horton, a former resident of Upham, were brought to the Upham cemetery Saturday for interment in the family plot.

The Horton family at one time owned a ranch in Upham, which is now part of the "Ruff Lands."
