OTTAWA - Roy McAlpine, 81, of Ottawa, died Monday, Jan. 8, at Pleasant View Luther Home.
Burial in Calvary Cemetery with military services.
Mr. McAlpine was born July 27, 1925, in Ottawa, to Roy and Gertrude (Nangle) McAlpine. He married Ann Bluth on Nov. 27, 1948, at St. Francis of Assisi Church.
He worked with Sheet Metal Workers Local 1 for 40 years, retiring in 1986. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church and Sheet Metal Workers Local 1.
He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Barbara (Donald) Johnson of Marseilles; two sons, William (Rhonda) and Robert (Kimberly), both of Ottawa; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Bill; and a sister, Shirley Spears.
