Garrett Succumbs to Illness at BethelhemA Pail of Sadness came over the Bethlehem Community Friday evening, November 4, when the death angel visited the home of Mr. O.M. Garrett and called his Mother, who had been ill for several months, to rest. Mrs. Garrett was born in Caldwell Parish and was 76 years of age, having spent most of her life in Winn Parish. She will be missed by all who knew her. She was a member of the Baptist Church since a very young woman, and was considered a devoted christian. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. A.H. Cullen of Winnfield and interment was made in the Bethlehem Cemetery near Calvin, Saturday evening, November 5. Surviving the deceased are four sons, Messers, O.M. Garrett, P.L. Garrett, Ed Garrett, and S. Garrett, a number of grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
