GURLEY – Homer Byram, 57, Rt. 1, Gurley, died at 3:20 p.m. Wednesday at the Carraway Methodist Hospital in Birmingham after a three month illness.

A funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at the Cave Springs Holiness Church with Rev. Duke Cowan officiating. Blythe Funeral Home of New Hope is in charge.

Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Dellan Byram; two sons, Luther O. Byram, rt. 2, Gurley, and Shurman Byram, Rt. 2, Gurley; five daughters, Mrs. Ruby Stephens, Owens Cross Roads, Mrs. Kathleen Wood, Griffith, Ind., Mrs. Vera Dudley, Owens Cross Roads, Mrs. Era Roger, Rt. 2, Gurley, and Mrs. Rosie Lee Clark, rt. 2, Gurley; five brothers, Coy Byram, Rt. 1, Grant, Arthur Byram, Guntersville, Gruby Byram, Florida, Lonzie Byram, Rainsville, and Dee Byram, Guntersville; three sisters, Mrs. Mae Jones, Albertville, Mrs. Vida Black, New Hope, and Mrs. Perlie Jones, Guntersville; and 21 grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Johnny Maples, Edward Byram, O'Neal Black, Carlton Byram, Irwin Jones, and Bernard Byram.
