HUNTSVILLE TIMES Tuesday, 09 AUG 1960

A funeral service for George Washington Baker, 84, New Hope, will be tomorrow at 11 a.m. DST at the Cedar Point Baptist Church. Burial will be at the Baker Cemetery at Owens Cross Roads. The Rev. Denton Adams will officiate.
Mr Baker died yesterday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Tommy Baker, Rt. 1, Gurley.

He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Baker and Mrs. Henry Turner, New Hope; five sons, Ed Baker of Huntsville, and Murphy Baker, O. A. Baker, Robert Baker and Hugh Baker, all of New Hope; 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren' one great-great-grandchild' and three step-grandchildren. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
The body will be at the home of Robert Baker, his son, Rt. 1, New Hope, until the time of service. Butler Brothers Funeral Home of New Hope is in charge of arrangements.
