Agnes Setser Hunton, 81, wife of the late Dr. Richard E. Hunton, died January 29, 2012, at Hospice House in Greenwood.

Born in Franklin, NC, she was the daughter of the late Gilmer and Nina Setser. She was a Registered Nurse and graduate of the Mission Memorial Hospital Nursing program in Asheville, NC. She attended East Side Baptist Church in Greenwood.

Surviving are a daughter, Jenifer Diachenko and husband, Steve, of Taylors; and a son, Richard E. Hunton, Jr. and wife, Cynthia, of Columbia; brother, Richard Setser; sisters, Grace Harrison, Jean Wilson, Anna House, and Helen Gent; and seven grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Blyth Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. David Thomasson of East Side Baptist Church officiating.

Private family burial will be in Oakbrook Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Richard Hunton, Jr., Steve Diachenko, Richard Setser, Reubin Diachenko, Ian Diachenko and Richard Hunton, III.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 to 2:00 Tuesday afternoon.

The family would like to thank the following for their compassionate care: Dr. Thomas Kendall; Dr. Andy Funke; Dr. Joanna Sadurski and Staff at the Self Regional Healthcare Cancer Center; Nurses Cindy, Judy, and Kathy of Hospice Care of the Piedmont; and Dr. Robert Todd and staff at the Greenwood Hospice House.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to East Side Christian School, 1908 Hwy 72-221 East, Greenwood, SC 29649 or to Hospice Care of the Piedmont, 408 W. Alexander Avenue, Greenwood, SC 29646.
