Dene West, 90, of Strawberry, died Feb. 21, 2005, at his home. Born Oct. 24, 1914, at Aetna in Sharp County, he was the son of William Howard and Mahalia Josephine Howard West. He was a retired farmer and a member and elder of the Milligan Campground Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Ruth Mullen West; six brothers; and three sisters.

Survivors include three sons, Gary West, Strawberry, Danny West, Okmulgee, Okla., and David West, Tulsa; three daughters, Jo Ann Conatser, Trumann; Patty Huskey, Saffell, and Helen Lackey, Sulphur Rock; 15 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Funeral is today at 2 p.m. at the Milligan Campground Cumberland Presbyterian Church, near Strawberry, with Bro. Grayden Milligan officiating. Burial will follow in Milligan Campground Cemetery under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.

Pallbearers will be Payton Huskey, Steve Conatser, Paul Lackey, Mark West, Patrick Huskey and Kenny West.
