WRIGHT - Isaac Wright, one of the oldest residents of Mcdonough county, dropped dead Sunday last at his home in Blandinsville. The old gentleman was dressing for church and while in the act of putting on his collar, fell. The family hearing him fall ran to the bedroom in which he was dressing but found the door closed and his body lying against it so it could not be opened. A neighbor was called who crawled through the bedroom window; life was extinct when he reached the body. Mr. Wright was well on toward 80 years. He was a native of Ohio, coming to this county from Muskingam [sic] county, in 1858. He was the father of Thomas Wright, well-known of Sciota township.
( The obituary stated he was a native of Ohio, but in each census from 1850 through 1880 it was reported that he was born in Maryland. )
