Mrs. Theresa Winkler
Of 1024 First Avenue, died at the Altoona Hospital at 2:15
O'Clock yesterday afternoon (27 Oct, 1953) after an extended illness. She was born in Steinberg, Bavaria, Germany 4 Dec 1890, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Ostermaier, and was a member of St Mary's Catholic Church and the Bavarian Ladies Aid Society. Mrs. Winkler was twice married, her first husband, Anton Regensperger, dying in 1931. Surviving are her second husband, Mathias Winkler; three children, Mrs. Mary Sommer and Mrs. Theresa Knab, both of Altoona, and Mrs. Anna Caporuscio of Cleveland, four grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Marie Huber in Germany.
Grave stone has spelling as Regensberger, but children and other sources show the spelling as Regensperger.
