Injury is fatal to shop employee
Struck over the back of the head by a heavy piece of material being carried by a crane in the 2nd street Pennsy Tank Shop yesterday afternoon, Anton Regensperger age 45 of 1024 1st Ave died at 12:10 o'clock at the Altoona Hospital. It is reported that as the man was bending over at his work, the crane came along beaving a heavy piece of sheet metal. The edge of the section of material is said to have struck Regensperger on the back of the head inflicting serious injury and rendering the man unconscious. The accident happened about 3:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon and following first aid at the shop the patient was brought to the local institution and admitted to the men's surgical ward. The man was born in Germany and came to this country into Altoona a little over 8 years ago. Since locating in the city had had been employed by the PRR Company. He leaves a wife and 3 children Mary, Theresa and Anna all at home. He also has one sister living in this city Mrs Tergna Renner. The deceased was a member of St Mary's Catholic Church.

Grave stone has spelling as Regensberger, but children and other sources show the spelling as Regensperger.
