Mervyn Lonnie Fronk, 75, passed away peacefully January 29th at Iowa Methodist Hospital. A celebration of his life will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 4 at Brooks Tonini Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Entombment of cremains will be held at a later date at Masonic cemetery in Des Moines Iowa.

Mervyn was born August 2, 1936 to Mervyn Benjamin and Viola Ruth (Williams) Fronk. Mervyn graduated from Spirit Lake High in 1955. He then went on to serve 4 years in the United States Air Force. Mervyn was united in marriage to Frances Jean Johnson on September 5, 1959. He also was a proud member of the Teamsters Union, from which he retired. He was also a member of the Masons and Shriners. In his free time, Mervyn enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing.

Mervyn was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife Frances and one sister Janice. He is survived by his two sons: Jeffrey (Debbie) of Des Moines and Anthony Linn (Tammy) of Des Moines, five grandchildren: Heather, Anthony M., Cassidy, Jared and Braxton and two sisters: Frances Flynn and Lori Holmes and special friend and loving companion Betty Fazio.
