"John Bockerman, died July, 1910"
According to official report given by the Park Superintendant, John Beckerman (name misspelled on stone), walked into Yosemite Park from Coulterville, California looking for work, fell ill & was taken to the Army Hospital. He died on July 9th, 1910 of Tuberculosis & was buried on July 10th.
(My Notes)
I was unable to find any Beckerman/Bockerman living in Mariposa Co., California (location of Coulterville) during the 1910 US Census (persons living at residences on April 1st, 1910) or any Frank Beckerman listed in California 1910 or prior. In my opinion he either drifted in from another State or gave an alias name to the hospital administrators.
