Benden, J. Edward, age 76, of Moscow Mills, Missouri died Sunday, January 22, 2012 at Villa Theresa in O'Fallon, Missouri. He was born January 29, 1935 in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of Edward and Mary Benita Roberts Bendon.

Mr. Benden owned and operated a carnival supply store for many years and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Josephville, Missouri. He was also a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles (F.O.E.) in Alton, Illinois.

Survivors include his wife, Colleen Lay Benden; daughters, Michelle Budzinski (James), Jeanine Matteoni and Susanne Willenbrink (Garry); sons, Denis Benden (Michelle) and Timothy Benden (Lisa); a brother, Charles Benden; thirteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Jane Fanning.

Mr. Benden donated his body to St. Louis University School of Medicine.

A memorial mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 4, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1390 Josephville Road, Wentzville, Missouri 63385 [See attached map].
