MENGES: Trupe Carter Menges, 63, a resident of Tyrone and former resident of Ariz., entered life eternal Saturday at Gila Regional Medical Center. He was born Jan. 29, 1929, in Cottonwood, Ariz., to Raymond P. and Estella Mary Joy Menges. He was employed in the mining industry in Arizona and retired as a truck driver in the road construction field. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Mr. Menges was a member of the 12th Street Church of Christ in Silver City. His hobbies included fishing and gardening. A memorial service will be held at the 12th Street Church of Christ in Silver City on Tuesday at 2 p.m. Floyd O. Robertson and Lester Percell will officiate. Baca's Mimbres Crematorium is in charge of cremation. Survivors include his wife, Ruth N. Menges of the home; a son, Trupe Carter Menges Jr. of Payson, Ariz.; two daughters, Carolyn and Linda Menges, both of Louisiana; four brothers, Gene Menges of Elfrida, Ariz., Lester Menges of Washington, Louis Menges of Glendale, Ariz., and Eddie Menges of Douglas; a sister, Patsy Weidiger of Hamilton, Mont.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Church of Christ of Silver City or Douglas. Memorial arrangements are under the direction of Baca's Funeral Chapels.
