Mrs. Asbill was born in Ridge Spring, SC daughter of the late Albert G. and Myrtle Jones Boatwright. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and Dorcas Sunday School Class. She was also a member of Monetta Study Club and Monetta Home Demonstration Club. She was married to the late Joe B. Asbill. She was co-owner of Asbill Insurance Company.
Surviving are her sister, Margie B. Dickert; nieces and nephews, Larry (Cheryl) Dickert; Mike (Jenny) Dickert, Sharon Dickert and her children, Earl, Ashley and Kathryn Dickert.; D.B. (Rosa) Asbill; Wayne (Connie) Johnson; Betty J. Cox; Mita Boozer; Mary Jo Hood; Mary Frances Hodgins; She was predeceased by a daughter, Joye L. Asbill, infant son and a brother, Leon G. Boatwright.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday, January 29, 2012 at Milton Shealy Funeral Home. The family would like to thank the staff of Generations of Batesburg and many other friends that provided care during her extended illness.
