Born in Aiken County, she was a daughter of Joe B. and Opal Boatwright Asbill. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and a 1976 graduate of Columbia College. She was attending graduate school at the University of South Carolina and was a third grade teacher at Weber Elementary School in Eastover.
Surviving are her parents of Monetta.
Services will be 3 p.m. today at Bethel Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. John Compton, the Rev. M. B. Webb and the Rev. Lon Knight. Burial will be in Ridge Spring Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Michael and Richard Dickert, Alfred Asbill, Jimmy Jones, Wayne Johnson, Allen Dancy and Johnny Cullum.
The family suggests that those who wish may make memorials to the Bethel Baptist Church or Columbia College.
