Mrs Cecelia M. Davis
Mrs. Cecelia M. Davis, age 78, of 908 West Main Street, Madison, passed away at 3:07 a.m. Friday, June 11, 1982 at the King's Daughter's Hospital.
Born December 16, 1903 in Madison, Indiana, she was the daughter of Guy and Flora (Bishop) Brown, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Herbert Davis in 1977, one daughter, Mrs. Helen Gourley, and one sister, Mrs. Guyola Guerich.
Mrs. Davis was a member of the Ryker's Ridge Baptist Church.
Survivors include four daughter: Mrs. Betty J. Anderson, Mrs. Kathryn F. O'Neal, Mrs. Wanda L. Lakeman, and Mrs. Dolores J. Storm, all of Madison; two sons: Herbert J. Davis, Indianapolis, and Ralph W. Davis, Madison; one brother, Joseph A. Brown, Madison; twenty-five Grandchildren and fifteen Great-Grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Morris Dice at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, June 13, 1982 at the Vail-Holt Memorial Funeral Home, Madison, with burial in the Springdale Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Vail-Holt Memorial Funeral Home, Madison, from 3 to 9 a.m. today (Saturday, June12, 1982) and from 9 a.m. until time of services Sunday.
