John Offie Britton CARTHAGE - Funeral services for John Offie Britton, 93, of Longbranch, were held today at 2 p.m. in County Line Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Taylor officiating. Burial followed in County Line Cemetery.

Britton died Sunday, June 28; 1981, at Panola General Hospital. He was born April 8, 1888, in Panola County. The son of Benjamin Frank and Julie Ann Floyd Britton was a retired farmer and member of Byfield Church of Christ.

His wife, Vinnie E. Fallwell Birtton, preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death were two daughters, Eloise Nix and Essie Beatrice Atkerson, and two sons, Leander Cleveland Britton and Offie Leonard Britton.

Survivors include three sons, Relous M., Cordell, and Turner Britton, all of the Dodson Community; a daughter, Zeravell Keith of the Dodson Community; a brother, Sam Britton of Nacogdoches; a sister, Mrs. Babe Kullum of Houston; 15 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 12 great-greatgrandchildren. Arrangements are by the Hawthorn Funeral Home In Carthage.
