Benjamen F. Conner was born in Ohio, July 30, 1860. He was united in marriage to Nettie R. Anderson, April 7, 1890. To this union were born four children, of whom three are living. Mr. Conner came to Lincoln when 22 years of age, and moved to the Burwell vicinity in 1904. For 20 years he served as mail carrier on a rural route here. Mr. Conner passed away at his home in Burwell, Oct. 11, 1935 at the age of 75 years, 2 months and 11 days. He leaves to mourn his departure, his wife and companion of 45 years, Nettoe R. Conner of Burwell; also two sons, Forest M. and Arthur Conner of Burwell and a daughter Pearl Swanson of Ericson. He also leaves two brothers, George and Tom Conner and two sisters Sadie and Jane Conner. Mr. Conner was coverted four years ago and became a member of the Pentecostal church. His fellowship will be freatly missed by all the members of this church. "Another friend and loyal one is gone. He cannot come back to us, but we can go to him. Let us sorrow not as thos who have no hope, he has lived his life, had fought his fight of faith and had gone home to recieve the overcomer's crown". Was buried in Cottonwood cemetery.
