Stephen was the son of Jonathan Wilford Conner and Mary Jane Aduddell

He married Alice May Marlow and had the following child: Mary Zarilda

Stephen Jesse Conner
Stephen Jesse Conner, son of Johnathan W. Conner and Mary Jane Addudell Conner, was born in Monroe County Ohio, April 20, 1863 and departed this life at Burwell, Nebraska, August 30, 1935, at the age of 72 years 4 months, and 10 days.
He came west in the spring of 1888, and located in Garfield County where he has resided continously since. On December 4, 1895, he was united in marriage to Alice Marlow in Story County, Iowa, bringing his bride to the ranch house in Nebraska. To this union one child was born, Mrs. Osa Hooper who preceeded her father in death in 1917. The wife and mother passed away six years ago.
Mr. Conner leaves to mourn two grandchildren, Alice, now Mrs. Bell Lesher , and Edna, two brothers Thomas, and Ben and two sisters Sadie and Jane all of Burwell.
He was a good neighbor and friend always pleasant and agreeable. He was a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows and loyal to the prinicpals of the order.
The all seeing eye of God and the brotherhood of man.
The funeral was conducted from the Methodist church, Sunday afternoon by the pastor J. Bruce Wylie with the I.O.O.F. in charge at the cemetery.
