She was a member of Sacred Heart Church and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, cooking & visiting people.
Amparo is survived by: her husband: Rafael Vela of Fort Madison, IA; 1-daughter: Francine (Mark) Gomez-Lee of Fort Madison, IA; 2-step sons: John (Leimomi) Vela of Phoenix, AZ & Jose Guadalupe Vela of Fharr, TX; 2-grandsons; 4-granddaughters; 3-sisters: Paula Patino of Gerard, IL, Benita Aguirre of Fort Madison, IA & Eva Perez of Fort Madison, IA; 2-brothers: Bart Prado of Fort Madison, IA & Ignacio "Nacho" Prado of Davenport, IA. She was preceded in death by: her parents, her twin sister: Frances Prado, 2-sisters: Ester Prado & Lupe Alvarado & 3-brothers: Milo Prado, Lelo Prado & Tommy Prado Sr.
Burial is in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Fort Madison, Iowa.
