ROCKFORD - Ann Arrington, 83, departed this world Sunday, Sept. 25, 2011, in her home, surrounded by her family, after a long illness. Born Dec. 23, 1927 in Chattanooga, Tenn. Married Claude on Feb. 6, 1954. Ann worked at the Salvation Army Thrift Store where she was known for wearing a different hat on Fridays. Ann leaves behind her husband, Claude; children, Dennis Claude (Gayle) Arrington, Tom Arrington, Patti (Roger) Flood and Doug Arrington; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. A special thank you to Anita Arrington, Jennifer from Addus Health Care and Transitions Hospice for their care and support.

Service at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28, at Advantage Funeral Home & Cremation, 7000 W. State St., Rockford, with visitation from 1 p.m. to time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family Condolences at mem.com.
