On June 26, 1937, Mildred Edna Cann, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George E. Cann, of near South Branch, NJ, married Robert Apgar Carvatt, of High Bridge, bachelor member of the famous Hauptmann jury (who was convicted for the murder of the son of Charles Lindbergh).

Mr. Carvatt is the son of Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Carvatt of High Bridge, New Jersey. About 200 guests attended the wedding ceremony at St. John's Episcopal Church in Somerville, NJ. Three members of the Hauptmann jury, Charles F. Snyder of Lebanon, George L. Voorhees of Lebanon and Howard Biggs of Annandale, attended the ceremony.

George E. Cann, Jr, a brother of the bride served as an usher.

Mrs. Carvatt was a graduate of Hunter College High School, New York City and is employed at the Academy of Political Science, Columbia University. She anticipates resigning soon when she and her husband take up residence in High Bridge. He is employed in the pattern department at the Taylor-Wharton Iron and Steel Company's plant.
