Ethel Victoria Sandberg, age 86, of Kelliher died Friday, October 13 [1978] at the Bemidji Community Hospital.

Ethel Anderson was born in Minneapolis on July 13, 1892 to Ben and Inga Anderson. She came to Shotley July 3, 1902. The Anderson family came by train from Minneapolis, to Thief River Falls then up the Red Lake River by boat to Shotley.

She was married to Gust Sandberg on March 17, 1912 at Shotley. Her occupation was a housewife.

Mrs. Sandberg had been a resident at the Kelliher Good Samaritan Center of one day less than a year. Her husband preceded her in death in 1973.

She is survived by two sons; George, Alburn, Wash., and Donald, Reno, Nev.; a daughter, Marion (Mrs. W.C.) Budge, Bemidji; a brother, Willard Anderson, Kelliher; and two sisters, Laura Edlund and Linnea Peters, both of Kelliher.

Six grandchildren and several great grandchildren also survive.
