William Henry "Willie" Thomas, Sr, 86, of Lewisetta died Thursday, May 2, 2002. He was the widower of Anna Geortzen Thomas. An R & W Sporting Goods tackle repairer and a charter boat captain. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Hope Shrewsbury.
Surviving are two sons, Ricky Thomas of Lottsburg and William Henry "Billy" Thomas, Jr of Lakeland, Florida; three daughters, Janet Brown and Judith "Dale" Taylor of Lakeland, Florida, and Joyce Hunter, of Lake Wales, Florida.; a brother, Alva Thomas of Lewisetta, 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held 2 p.m., Sunday, May 5, at Lewisetta Chapel, Lewisetta, with Rev. Willie B. Guill officiating. Interment was in Melrose United Methodist Church Cemetery, Lottsburg. Pallbearers were Randy Harding, Keith Jett, Eddie Rest, Eugene Booth, Harry Thomas and George Thomas.
