DOSHA MATTIE (KITCHENS) ARMSTRONG

MRS. JESSE ARMSTRONG

Mattie Armstrong, wife of Jesse Armstrong of Hayden, took place yesterday afternoon at 2:30. Mrs. Armstrong had been taken to Longmont to undergo an operation, but died before it could be performed. Her body was brought back to Hayden for burial. Rev. Chapman conducted the funeral services and interment was made in the Hayden Cemetery. Mrs. Armstrong, whose maiden name was Kitchens, was 28 years of age. She is survived by three children, her husband, eight sisters, and three brothers. Her husband and her brother, John Kitchens, were at the bedside when death came. She had been in poor health for several months, but up to the very last looked after her children and housework. The funeral sermon of Rev. Chapman impressed her relatives and many friends with the glorious hope of the Christian life. The funeral was attended by people from all parts of the county, their numerous relatives and friends being present from a distance.
