Isaac Newton Casida Jr., son of Isaac Newton Casada Sr. and Delilah ______?, came to Indiana and enlisted in the U.S. Army at Danville, Hendricks County, Indiana, about 4 June 1832 and was discharged at Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana 6 July 1832. He served in the Black Hawk Indian War of 1832 under Captain Nicholas who was under Colonel Russel on the expedition to Chicago. He was in the 40th Regiment Indiana Mounted Riflemen.

Isaac married his first wife, Matilda Davenport Morrow (Davenport is her maiden name, Morrow is from her first husband Alex Morrow who is from Wayne County, Kentucky) and were the parents of 6 children. They lived somewhere in northwest Hendricks County, Indiana.

Isaac relocated with the children to Owen County, Indiana, set up his residence just south of Atkinsonville, married Temperance "Tempa" Jane Jordan 20 July 1852, and had 8 children.

No death date or burial site has been found for Matilda, so we believe she died sometime about 1850/51.Husband of Temperance Jane Jordan
