Son of Lewis Francis Beers and his third wife, Mary Amanda Hopkins Beers.
Perry married Claudia May Stone, 15 Feb. 1901. There were two children born to this marriage; Fred, who died an infant, and Ruby.
Perry's first job was water boy at the Clarksfield Quarry at age 16. Family history states that with his first paycheck he bought a pocket watch. The 1900 census lists him as a sawyer at the stone mill.
Daughter Ruby is responsible for writing much of the history of her family.
