In Westtown this morning, about 10:30 o'clock, John Barrett died at the age of 77 years. He had been ailing for some time, but his death was rather sudden, the cause being a general waring away of the system. Three children survive him, John Barrett, of Westtown; Mrs. William J. Corcoran and Mrs. Martin Welsh, of West Chester. The family belongs to St. Agnes' Catholic Church. Due notice of the funeral will be given.

Relatives and friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend the funeral without further notice from the residence of his daughter, Mrs. William J. Corcoran, corner Market and Darlington streets, West Chester, on May 3, 1911. Meet at the house at 9 o'clock. High Mass at St. Agnes' R.C. Church at 10 o'clock. Interment at St. Agnes' Cemetery.

The funeral of the late John Barrett, of Westtown township, took place this morning from the residence of his daughter, Mrs. William J. Corcoran, on West Market street, West Chester, mass being celebrated at the St. Agnes' R.C. Church by Rev. S.B. Spalding. The church was crowded and services were very impressive, many persons besides members and relatives paying their last respects to the venerable resident of this neighborhood for many years. There were several handsome floral tributes, and an especially fine one bearing the word, "Our Father". The interment took place at St. Agnes' Cemetery, at Oaklands. The pall bearers were: Andrew Penrose, John V. Morgan, Thomas Ford, Daniel Daisy, James Daley and William Mucahy. This death was the first one in sixteen months among members of the St. Agnes' Funeral Benefit Association.
