Margaret Hearst, the daughter of Joseph and Jane [Pressly] Hearst, was born the 1st day of January 1796. Her parents were member of Long Cane and Cedar Springs Associate Reformed Presbyterian churches.
Around 1817, Margaret married her cousin, John White Hall Hearst, son of John and Martha [Carson] Hearst; also of the Cedar Springs area. This union produced twelve children.
Margaret Hearst departed this life on the 31st day of July 1856 and is buried in the churchyard cemetery at Cedar Springs A. R. P.
