Mark was the second child of Chuck and Gloria Basham. His sisters, Cindy and Rochelle were his campanions in quite an adventuresome childhood. The family attended Our Saviors Church from 1962-1977. They were one of the seven founding families.

During his younder years, Mark, was active in Boy Scouts, track, student council, wood carving and playing the trombone. He graduated from Columbine High School in 1975. During this time, he nurtured his passion for cars, by revving up his mustang and rebuilding an old muscle car.

Mark attended the University of Northern Colorado, where he majored in Education and Psychology. Two beautiful girls, Jordan 10 and Taylor 6 completed their family. Mark was a craftsman and Debbie the designer, and together they tackled many remodeling projects.

The out doors was where Mark loved to be. His interest in geology grew and he became an avid 'rockhound'. He especially liked to get away and find that "hole" with the surprise treasurers of quartz crystals.

Mark worked in the Awning industry and was skilled in all aspects. He ran a sucessful side business in awning storage, always taking great pride in his work. His indomitable spirit of love and unseflessness was evident in the way he always had time to listen, to help, and to share of himself with others. He will be greatly missed.
