Born in and a lifelong resident of Aiken County, SC, he was a son of the late Fred Hahn and the late Nellie Steele Hahn Sullivan and was a member of the Aiken High School class of 1937. Mr. Hahn retired from Southern Bell in 1976 after thirty-five years of service as a Network Supervisor. He was a very active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where he had formerly served on the church council and sang in the choir and was also a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-two years, Gladys Rodgers Hahn, a daughter, Diane Hahn Hall, Dr. Leo Lexington, SC; son, Fred Hahn, Cheryl Aiken, SC; sister, Catherine Woodward, Aiken, SC; brother, Richard Sullivan, Linda Aiken, SC; and grandchildren, Erin, Derrick, and Beverly Hahn and Austin Hall. A daughter, Susan Hahn Arthur, preceded him in death.
