Helen B. (Brookins) Prath
Helen B. Prath YORK Helen B. (Brookins) Prath, 87, entered into rest at 10:20 a.m. Monday, July 5, 2004 at ManorCare-South after a brief illness. She was the wife of Joseph F. Prath, who entered into rest on September 14, 1986. Mrs. Prath was a professional seamstress; and she had attended Grace Baptist Church in York. Born January 3, 1917 in Middletown, Calif., she was a daughter of the late Franklin C. and Bertha (Koons - correction Kouns) Brookins. She leaves a daughter, Ruthe H. Frick and her husband, Rev. Karl of York; four grandchildren, Karl T. Frick II of Altoona, Regina K. Henise of York, Argie J. Prath of Estacada, Ore. and Lena Armas of Colton, Ore.; 12 great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert Brookins of Placerville, Calif.; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Frank J. Prath, who entered into rest in November 1990. There will be no viewing. Cremation will take place with Burg Funeral Home Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Sebastapol, Calif., at the convenience of the family. Contributions may be offered to Grace Baptist Church Memorial Fund, 3920 E. Prospect Road, York, PA 17402.
