Alene Chase passed away peacefully on December 28, 2009 at the age of 88. She was born October 7, 1921 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to Goldie and Marvin Adair. After graduating from high school, she moved to Tulsa to attend college, and eventually to Venezuela, where she worked for 3 years. After moving back to Tulsa, she met her husband Bob Chase, with whom she was married to for 43 years until his passing in 1993.

In 1955, she gave birth to twin sons, while living in Salt Lake City. The family eventually moved to Denver where they lived for 15 years. A transfer precipitated a move to Oklahoma City, where she has lived since 1968. Alene worked as a home maker and as a Realtor before retirement. With her husband, she was able to travel extensively around the world. She was active in her church, Mayflower Congregational, and in many civic organizations. She loved playing cards and hosting bridge parties. She will be remembered as a gracious, generous and loving wife, mother, grandma and friend to all.

She leaves behind her two sons, Richard and David, four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Sunday, Jan. 3, at Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper from 2:00 to 9:00 PM. Services will be held at 2:00, Monday, January 4, at The Mayflower Congregational Church, 3901 NW 63, Oklahoma City. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mayflower Congregational Church.
