Mrs. Fredericka A. Arch, nee Haedtler, wife of Henry C. Arch, 216 Franklin avenue, River Forest, died after a short illness Sunday morning, October 2, 1938. She was a past matron of River Forest chapter, Order of Eastern Star, and was widely know in River Forest and other western suburbs.
Mrs. Arch was born in Chicago, December 3, 1870, and was married forty-eight years ago. Two sons wer born to Mr. and Mrs. Arch - Elmer and Chester. The latter died in 1933. Elmer resides in Chicago now, although he has made his home in River Forest much of the time. Besides her husband and son, Mrs. Arch is survived by her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Chester Arch, 722 Bonnie Brae, and three grandchildren, Billy, Jean, and Sally, children of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Arch.
The Arch family moved from Chicago to Forest Park, where Mr. Arch had his business, in 1896, and ten years later came to River Forest, having erected the house which has since been their home. They have had a Summer home at Pistakee Bay, where Mrs. Arch was president of a ladies society.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at First Presbyterian church of River Forest, of which Mrs. Arch was a member. The pastor, Dr. C. A. Spaulding, officiated. Interment was at Forest Home cemetery.
