Dale Carson age 88 died January 13, 2012 at a Sioux Falls care center. Services will be Wednesday January 18th at 1:00 PM at St. Lambert Catholic Church in Sioux Falls.

Dale Carson was born Nov. 3 1923 at Langford SD to Howard and Ellen Carson. He graduated from Langford High School and served in the Navy in the Pacific during WWII.

He married Lorraine Rumpza in 1949 and they farmed near Langford until 1966 at which time they purchased the Pickerel Lake Lodge. After selling the Lodge, they lived in Minneapolis and then Sioux Falls for the last 31 years.

Dale loved to hunt & fish and always had a lifelong interest in nature. As a youth he played sports and was an avid Twins fan. He was an optimist who enjoyed people and was always interested in the world around him. His greatest joy was his family and his wife of 62 years, Lorraine.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Elizabeth Clanahan, his parents, and one sister, Carol Anderson. He is survived by his sisters, Hazel Erickson of Langford, Jewel Aeilts of Illinois, his Brothers, Floyd Carson of Langford, Bruce (Gwen) Carson of Aberdeen, his in-laws, Jim & Helen Helms of Webster and many nieces & nephews
