Wayne Curtis Smith, 95, of Danville passed away at 12:25 a.m. Sunday (Jan. 15, 2012) at the Hawthorne Inn in Danville.

He was born on Jan. 6, 1917 in Bismarck to Isaac F. and Abigail Deck Smith. He married Ethel Ray on Nov. 19, 1938 in Covington. She preceded him in death on April 7, 1989. He was also preceded in death by his parents; six brothers, Clyde Smith, Arthur Smith, Otto Smith, Otis Smith, Clelan Smith and Alfred Smith and five sisters, Gernie Smith, Gertrude Allison, Grace Smith, Fleeta Larsen and Villa Cork.

He is survived by a son, Curt W. (Ana) Smith of Queretaro, Mexico; daughter-in-law, Maggie Smith of Dyer, Indiana; one sister, Dorotha Reese of Danville; two grandchildren, Steve (Carlene) Smith and Staci Smith, both of Portage, Indiana; three great-grandchildren, Keygen Smith, Karyssa Smith and Brittney Beers; one great-great-granddaughter, Laci Young and several nieces and nephews.
