Etta Ruth Akers Crisp

Age 100, of Allen, widow of Felix Crisp, passed away, Wednesday, February 4, 2004, at her residence.
She was born January 11, 1904, in Banner, the daughter of the late Jim Akers and Mary Akers. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Regular Baptist Church, New Salem Association. Survivors include one son, Ray Crisp of Allen; one daughter, Eula C. Spurlock of Allen; four sisters: Toda Tackett of Banner, Emadale Boyd of Dana, Novella Compton of Betsy Layne, and Malta Howell of McDowell; eight grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, February 7, at 1 p.m., at the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, at Martin, with Regular Baptist ministers officiating. Burial was in the Davidson Memorial Gardens, at Ivel, under the professional care of the Hall Funeral Home. Pallbearers: Michael Parr, Tim Crisp, Wally Burk Hammons, Jeremy Hicks, Larry Vaughn, and Terry Hicks
