Shirley Veronica Fuller of Vermont and Stokes was called home to the Lord on July 3, 2008, after battling a long illness. She was born in Burlington on July 2, 1928, the daughter of the late Charles and Virginia (LaRoque) Lemieux. She attended Cathedral High School in Burlington and was employed for many years as a nurse's aide at Fletcher Allen Health Care in the maternity ward. She leaves behind a brother, Charles Lemieux Jr. of Burlington; a son in-law, Leonard Burbo of Stokes; two grandchildren, Jon Paul Fuller of Stokes, and Katrina E. Fuller and her fiancé Steven Farley Jr. of Charlotte, Vt.; one son, Steven J. Fuller and his wife Janice of Burlington; two stepgrandchildren and their families; one daughter-in-law, Shirley Miller and her husband Phillip of Burlington; as well as many nieces and nephews in Vermont and New York. She was predeceased by her husband, John Edward Fuller, in 1969; and by a daughter, Joanne Mary Burbo in January 2007. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 10, at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph Cathedral in Burlington. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in New Mount Calvary Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Ready Funeral and Cremation Service South Chapel, 261 Shelburne Road, Burlington.
