Edward Leroy Baze

NORMAN — Edward Leroy Baze was born to Joseph William and Jozetta (Upton) Baze on May 26, 1942. He departed this life on September 19, 2010 at the Norman Regional Hospital at the age of (68) years. He was the second youngest of (10) siblings.
Mr. Baze had resided in Noble since 1965 coming from Lexington, OK. He attended school in Lexington. Leroy entered into the Oklahoma National Guard's 45th Infantry Division in 1964 and dutifully served his country for 19 years and 8 months. On January 9, 1965 he and Ms. Reba Woodward were united in marriage in Noble, OK. Leroy was employed with L&A Wrecker Service for (12) years as a mechanic, and the City of Norman for (32) years. Leroy enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and family, farming, hunting and fishing, gardening and raising livestock.
Mr. Baze was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of (45) years Reba, four children: John William Baze and wife Stacy, Rebekah Lynn Baze, Michael Edward Baze, Linda Marie Jones and husband Adam, one brother; Jody Baze and wife Margaret of Noble, three sisters; Pauleen Tarp and husband Arthur of Lexington, Imogene Farley and husband Paul of Lexington, Ruby Richardson of Oklahoma City, one sister-in-law; Mary Baze of Norman, eight grandchildren; Jake, Jordan and Tate Baze, Kelsi and Michael D. Baze, Coleman, Thomas and Macy Jones, many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Leroy is missed and remembered as a man that was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend, that was hardworking, soft spoken, and willing to help anyone in need.
