Henry V. Behme, 84, of Carlinville, passed away Thursday, August 26, 2010 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

He was born Friday, September 18, 1925 in Brushy Mound Twsp., the son of Henry C. and Clara M. (Rhodes) Behme. Henry grew up on a farm there with his many siblings. Henry graduated from Carlinville High School with the class on 1944. He was active in 4-H showing Hereford cattle and later raising them. Henry was a lifetime farmer in Brushy Mound.

Surviving are his sisters Irene Peacock of Branson, MO, Stella Coffey of Bloomington, IN, Esther Fagerburg of New Britain, CT, brothers, Floyd Behme (Judy) of Nilwood, Erwin Behme (Barbara) of Carlinville, and Carl Behme (Charlene) of Carlinville, sister, Verna Knudson (Richard) of Carlinville, and several nieces and nephews.

Henry was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Myrtle Karrick, Iva Loveless, Lela Robinson, four brother-in-laws, Everett Karrick, Richard Loveless, Edgar Peacock, and Gilson Robinson.

Funeral Information
Family and friends may call from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M., Monday, August 30 at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville.

Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M., Monday, August 30, 2010 at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home.

Burial will take place in Emmerick Cemetery in rural Carlinville.
