Mr. Clinard was born November 1, 1926 in Coconut Grove, Florida and grew up in Leesburg, Georgia. He was the son of Curtis Alvin and Lila Irene Payne Clinard and was preceded in death by his bride of 62 years, Dorothy Marie Vanzant Clinard, his sister, Wyona Fern Clinard Robertson, his brother, Alvin Neil Clinard, his grandson, Wesley Curtis Clinard and great-granddaughters, Savannah Leigh Shepherd and Anastasia Elizabeth Wilson.
Mr. Clinard was retired after a distinguished career with the Carnation Company and had lived in Macon and Lizella for fifty five years. He was a former member of Bethesda Baptist Church in Macon, where he served faithfully for many years as a trustee and deacon and taught the Men's Sunday School class for forty years. He was currently a member of Mikado Baptist Church in Macon.
He is survived by sons, Mike (Patsy) Clinard, Sr., David V. (Jennie) Clinard, Jerry (Tonya) Clinard, daughter, Iris E. "Bunny" (David) Wilson; sisters, Mary Bland and Frances Rausch and a brother, James Clinard, eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
