Final Rites for Mrs. Frank Polk Held Saturday
Funeral services were held here Saturday morning,Feb. 25,for Mrs.Frank Polk,69,who died at her home Thursday morning of a heart attack.
Services were held at Hubbard Funeral Home,continuing at St. Michael's Church,with the Rev.Louis Fritz officiating,assisted by the Rt. Rev.Anthony F. Drozd and the Rev.Thomas O'Callaghan.Burial was in St. Michael's Cemetery.
Mrs.Polk was a lifelong resident of Weimar.The former Miss Ludmilla Berger,she was born May 10,1891,in the New Brunn area,a daughter of Joe and Theresa Berger.She was married to Mr.Polk in 1909.She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and St. Ann's Society.
Survivors in addition to her husband are one son,Eugene Polk of Richland,Wash.;two daughters,Mrs.Vida[sic] Greenberg of Fort Worth and Mrs.Leona Hebert of Kerrville;two sisters,Mrs.Joe Stavinoha of Ganado and Mrs.Albert Grohmann of Weimar;one brother,Joe Berger of Weimar;two grandsons,Ronnie and Gary Polk of Richland,Washington;three granddaughters,Mrs.Shirlee Lewis of Houston,Sharon and Karen Polk of Richland,Wash.;and two great-grandsons.
Pallbearers were nephews Edwin Hartensteiner,Charlie Hartensteiner,Leroy Polk,George Berger,Herman Janacek,Werner Stavinoha,Wilbur Grohmann and Alfred Helmcamp.
