She was born in Frostburg, a daughter of the late William H. and Mary Jane (Hart) Dufty. She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church, St. Mary's Guild of the church and had served 25 years as church organist.
She is survived by two sons, William Dufty Stair, Frostburg and James Carlton Stair, Cleveland, Ohio, and three grandchildren.
A service will be conducted tomarrow at St. John's Episcopal Church by Rev. Jay Newberry and interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Ervin Lewis, Frank Lewis, Harper Lewis, Alvin Serf, Bray Thompson and Harry Cook. Helen passed away at Sacred Heart Hospital on her birthday.
