William D Stair, 77 of Haines City, Fla formerly of Frostburg, died Tuesday, April 25, 1995, at Integrated Health Center, Auburndale, Fla.
Born in Frostburg, he was the son of the late William H. Stair and Helen (Dufty) Stair. He also was preceded in death by one brother James C. Stair, of Tucson, Ariz.
Mr Stair was a retired letter carrier for the Frostburg Post Office. He was an Army veteran of World War II and was Epicopal by faith. He wass a member of Mt Lodge 99 A.F. & A.M.; Mt Chapter 15, Order of Eastern Star, Frostburg Lodge 470 BPO Elks, York Rite Bodies and Ali Ghan Shrine.
Surviving are his wife, Mary E. (Gunter) Stair, one son William H. Stair and wife, Karen, Frostburg; one half sister Maude Infantino, St Petersburg, Fla, one niece and several nephews.
Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, Frostburg, on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9pm.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at 1pm with the Rev. Michael Ellis. Interment will be in the Frostburg Memorial Park.
The Mt. Lodge 99 will hold a memorial service at the funeral home on Thursday at 7pm.
