Elizabeth B. Carsner, 78, formerly of Marion and Pottersville, Missouri, died Tuesday at Hallmark Nursing Home, Mount Vernon, following a long illness.
Born February 20, 1904, at Atkins, she married Dallis D. Carsner Sr. on June 23, 1925, at Marshalltown. They owned and operated the Danish Maid Bakery in Marion from 1946-70. She was a member of the Marion American Legion Auxiliary and St. Paul's Lutheran Church, West Plaines, Missouri.
Surviving in addition to her husband are three sons, Richard C. and Dallis D. Jr. both of Marion, and George E. of Iowa City; one brother, August Kray of Marion; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Services: 1:30 p.m. Friday at Faith Luthern Church, Marion, by the Rev. John D. Huber. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home after 2 p.m. today and at the church after noon Friday.
