Richard C. Carsner, 64, of 2155 11th Ave., Marion, died of Cancer early Tuesday morning in his home.
Born September 13, 1925, at Marion, he married Kathleen Waline June 23, 1947. She died in 1970. He then married Marie Richardson June 24, 1972. Mr. Carsner worked for the family business, Danish Maid Bakery, for 23 years before he retired. He then was a messenger and driver for Brink's Inc., for 19 years, retiring in 1987. Mr. Carsner was a 45 year member of American Legion Marion Post 298, a member of First United Methodist Church, Marion, and a World War II Army Air Force veteran.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Richard Jr. of Conover, North Carolina, Danny of League City, Texas, and Donald of Marion; a daughter Kitty Haase of Palm Bay, Florida; a stepson, Richard Richardson of Marion; a stepdaughter, Cindy Martin of Waynesville, Missouri; his father, Dallis D. Sr. of Pottersville, Missouri; two brothers, Dallis D. of Marion and George of Iowa City; 12 grandchldren, two stepgrandchildren and a stepgreat-grandchild.
Services: Noon Saturday, First United Methodist Church, Marion, by the Rev. Claie Odell and Rev. Jon Gaul. Graveside: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, with military services conducted by American Legion Marion Post 298. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday in Murdoch Chapel, Marion.
