Sudden Death of Prof. Southall. A special from the University of Virginia to the Rich. State, dated Nov. 28th, says:
Prof. Stephen O. Southall died last night....Prof. Southall
was born in Amelia county, Va., in 1816. He graduated in law at the University, sessions of 1839-'40, and practiced with marked success in Prince Edward county. He was elected to the chair of Equity, Mercantile, Constitutional and International Law in the University in 1866....No man was ever more loved by his pupils.
