Booneville, Sept 13 - Henry Clay Spence, 74, died at 11 pm Friday at his home in Sturgeon after a long illness. He was a member of the Royal Oak Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs Florence Spence; six sons - Irvin, Elby, & Denzil Spence, Sturgeon; Charlie & Calvin Spence, Austin, Ind; James Spence, South Lebanon, Ohio; two daughters, Mrs Grace Bowling, Ricetown & Mrs Bethel Warner, South Lebanon, Ohio; four brothers, Andy Spence, Tyner; Frank Spence, Pebworth; William Spence, Elice; Sherman Spence, Chillicothe, Ohio; a sister, Mrs Ollie Bowman, South Lebanon, Ohio; 44 grandchildren & 5 great-grandchildren.
Services will be conducted at 2 pm (CST) Sunday at the Royal Oak Baptist Church by the Rev Clarence Kilburn & the Rev George Williamson. Burial will be in the Spence Cemetery at Sturgeon. The body is at the King Justice Funeral Home.
